The body's metabolism is how it converts the food you eat into fuel. Quite simply, the higher your metabolism, the quicker you'll burn up those calories.  And the lower it is, the fatter you'll get.  So, let's take a look at how to increase your metabolism so you can lose weight fast and easy.

Food equals fuel for your body.  Each and every one of the cells in your body is fueled by the food you eat.  These calories fuel the beating of your heart and the thinking of your brain.  The more active you are, the quicker you'll burn through these calories, and the faster you'll drop that weight.

To shed those pounds you must learn how to boost your metabolism.  You wan to bump up your resting metabolism, specifically.  When you do this, you'll be able to lose weight without having to work out so much.

You'll have to modify your lifestyle.  You'll be eating better and working out.  When combined, these two components will allow you to lose the weight permanently.

Diet:  It can be hard to sacrifice all the foods you love.  But it probably won't need to completely change every thing you eat.  Maybe you begin by just eating five smaller meals each day instead of three.  Then you can begin to look into foods to eat to lose weight. Most Americans eat too much fat and not enough carbohydrates, so try to balance that out.

Hit the Gym:  We'll be doing both aerobic and resistance training. Aerobic exercises like running and riding a bike will help you actively burn calories.  Resistance training is not just for bodybuilder.  By building up your muscles, they will eat up more calories in order to repair themselves after each workout.

Do both of these and you'll see your metabolism shoot through the roof while your weight shrivels up.
