7 Great Ways to Lose Weight Fast

1. Always eat breakfast each day. This will stop you snacking mid-morning on cakes and foods to give a quick sugar boost. Cereals, oats or a banana and yoghurt will all release energy slowly throughout the morning to keep you going until lunchtime.

2. Limit the amount of treats containing sugar that you have. Sugar is addictive and releases energy quickly but will leave you wanting more soon afterwards. This includes cake, pastries, cookies, ice cream, chocolate etc.

3. Halve your intake of fats. Whether these are added fats or pure use half the amount you normally would use. Don't use as much butter on your toast or on your potatoes. Use less mayonnaise or dressings on your salad and less in your frying pan.

4. Choose foods with a lower fat source of protein at most meals. Turkey, chicken, fish, are all far healthier than red meats, nuts and eggs.

5. Cut down on the fat content in your milk products. If you are currently drinking whole milk, change to semi-skimmed or skimmed milk. Choose lower fat cheese and yogurt. When you buy yogurt, also check that it does not contain sugar.

6. Choose at least 2 servings of fruit each day. Try to use fruits that are in season and use them in desserts or as a snack.

7. Choose at least 2 servings of vegetable at lunch and dinner. These will create bulk and make you feel full up quicker. Use more vegetable and less meat or protein than you normally would use.
